Airfreight Quotations & Cost Control Coordinator
We’re looking for an organised and commercially minded Airfreight Quotations & Cost Control Coordinator to join our Bradford-based Airfreight Import team.
As one of the UK’s largest independent freight forwarders, we deliver global logistics solutions across sea, air, road and rail, supported by customs clearance services and over 40 years of industry experience. This role plays a key part in ensuring our customers receive accurate and competitive quotations while supporting effective commercial control across our airfreight operations.
The role involves:
A varied role focused on quotations, cost analysis and commercial control, including:
- Preparing air import and cross-trade quotations
- Obtaining and comparing rates from airlines, overseas agents and suppliers
- Monitoring market trends and pricing to ensure competitive rates
- Calculating chargeable weights, freight costs and margins to support accurate quotations
- Maintaining regular contact with customers to provide updates and support excellent service levels
- Checking and approving airline, overseas agent, handling and transport invoices
- Investigating and resolving supplier cost discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate cost and quotation data within our freight management system
- Developing productive working relationships with customers, suppliers, overseas agents, and internal operational teams
- Supporting the Airfreight Import team to ensure excellent service delivery
- Identifying opportunities to improve costing accuracy and commercial performance
- Supporting general office duties (phones, filing, post)

- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Effective organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
- Commercial awareness and confidence working with costs, margins and pricing
- A keen eye for identifying anomalies and challenging unexpected charges
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- A positive, energetic, can-do attitude
- Flexibility to get involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations
Previous freight forwarding or airfreight experience would be an advantage but is not essential. We also welcome applications from candidates with strong numerical ability, commercial awareness and a keen eye for detail.

This role is full-time Monday to Friday based at our Bradford head office, BD1.
